Jesus Makes All Things New And Me Free In 2018

A. TITLE: JESUS MAKES ALL THINGS NEW AND ME FREE IN 2018

B. INTRODUCTION

Pastor Michael shared with us the Word that God gave Him for 2018: “A New Season.”
I believe and receive that for my Family for Maretha, and Joshua Daniel who is coming. It is a New Season for us in Jesus Name. Before we knew this, we decided to name our son Joshua Daniel, and it’s interesting that Joshua in the Bible was the one who led, the Israelites into their new Season, he led them into the promised land, and I believe even Joshua who is coming in this year is a sign for our family as a New Season. The Name Joshua is actually Hebrew for Jesus, Jesus is the Aramaic version of Joshua, and Joshua actually means savior. So Jesus will take us into our promised land, the land of abundance, overflow. Where we live in houses that we did not build and eat grapes from vineyards that we did not plant, we will live in the land of Milk and Honey, God is taking us out of Egypt into our promised land. It is a New Season.
Have you taken the prophetic Word for yourself? I would if I were you.

Hebrews 4:2 NKJV for indeed the gospel was preached to us as well as to them; but the word which they heard did not profit them, not being mixed with faith in those who heard it.

God said to the Israelites I will take you into the Promised Land, I will give your enemies into your hands, but they didn’t believe the promise, they sent 12 spies into the land, and 10 of them came back with a negative report. We will never be able to do this, they are giants and we were like grasshoppers in their eyes. They didn’t mix with faith what God promised them and because of their fear, they didn’t enter the Promised Land. They wandered in the desert for 40 years. How long do you want to wander in the desert? If you want to have the fruit of the Word of God, you need to mix what you hear with Faith. Jesus didn’t say all things are possible.He said all things are possible to them who believe.

Mark 9:23 NKJV Jesus said to him, “If you can believe, all things are possible to him who believes.”

Mark 11:24 NKJV Therefore I say to you, whatever things you ask when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you will have them.
Without Faith we cannot receive from God. You have to mix what you hear with Faith.
That is why we say Amen:
2 Corinthians 1:20 ESV The yes to all of God’s promises is in Christ. And that is why we say “Amen” through Christ to the glory of God.
All God’s promises to us are YES, and AMEN. When you say AMEN, according to Thayer lexicon of Greek words you are saying:
Amēn: 1) Firm (When we say Amen we are making firm in our lives what is being said, you are settling in your life.)

Hebrews 11:1, says faith is the substance of things hoped for. When you say amen you are making the promise firm. You are adding substance to what you are hoping for.
1a) metaphorically faithful (When you say Amen, you are saying God is faithfull to what He has promised.God is not a man that He should lie, what He has promised He will bring to pass.
2a) at the beginning of a discourse – surely, truly, of a truth. (When you say Amen you are saying it is truth, and Jesus said you will know the truth and the truth will set you free)
2b) at the end – so it is, so be it, may it be fulfilled. (You are saying it is so it is, so be it, may it be fulfilled. (When Mary said with the birth of Jesus, let it be to me according to your word, she was saying, amen, she received the word,and what she believed, what she said Amen to came to pass)
There was a custom, which passed over from the synagogues to the Christian assemblies, that when he, who had read or discoursed, had offered up solemn prayer to God, the others responded Amen, and thus made the substance of what was uttered their own.
When you say Amen you make the substance of what was said your own. Faith is the Substance of things hoped for. When you say Amen you receive the Substance of what has been said. It becomes your substance.
One of the many names of Jesus in the Bible is “The Amen” (faithful and true witness), in Revelation 3:14 “And to the angel of the church of the Laodiceans write, ‘These things says the Amen, the Faithful and True Witness, the Beginning of the creation of God:
So we should be saying Amen a lot more when we Hear the Word preached. The Bible tells us:
1 Corinthians 1:21 for since, in the wisdom of God, the world through wisdom did not know God, it pleased God through the foolishness of the message preached to save those who believe.
It may sound like foolishness to the World, but God chose the method of preaching to deliver His salvation, and salvation isn’t just being saved and going to heaven it is: sōzō (sode’-zo): to save, that is, deliver or protect (literally or figuratively): – heal, preserve, save (self), do well, be (make) whole.
It is through Faith in the preached Word that we are saved, that we are made whole. When we share a Word with you, we are sharing the wisdom of God, we are sharing with you the power of God to be made whole, and when you say Amen you receive what is being said, and the substance of that Word is brought into your life. I don’t know about you, but that means that I don’t want to miss church, I don’t want to miss an opportunity to hear the word preached, because as what is being preached is released the power of God is released with it. I need the power of God operating in my life, don’t you?
So let me say that again: 2018 is a New Season! AMEN!
I have a Word this morning for you, that I believe God wants me to share with you today, I believe in this new Season, there are many of God’s people who cannot go into their New Season, because they are still stuck in the Old Season. Today I believe God wants to take you out of that Old Season, into the New Season, He wants to set you free.Are you ready for Jesus Christ our Lord will make all things New and Set you free in 2018. Are you ready for that? Let’s get into the word,there is a recorded event in the Book of Luke of a woman who had a spirit of infirmity for 18 Years. For 18 Years she went to synagogue (church) and she walked in and out the same, but then one day, Jesus was there and everything changed. It may be you have been in this church for a long time, maybe you have been having specific challenges for a long time, but today Jesus is here and that changes everything.

C. TEXT

Luke 13:10-17 10 Now He was teaching in one of the synagogues on the Sabbath. 11 And behold, there was a woman who had a spirit of infirmity eighteen years, and was bent over and could in no way raise herself up. 12 But when Jesus saw her, He called her to Him and said to her, “Woman, you are loosed from your infirmity.” 13 And He laid His hands on her, and immediately she was made straight, and glorified God. 14 But the ruler of the synagogue answered with indignation, because Jesus had healed on the Sabbath; and he said to the crowd, “There are six days on which men ought to work; therefore come and be healed on them, and not on the Sabbath day.” 15 The Lord then answered him and said, “Hypocrite! Does not each one of you on the Sabbath loose his ox or donkey from the stall, and lead it away to water it? 16 So ought not this woman, being a daughter of Abraham, whom Satan has bound—think of it—for eighteen years, be loosed from this bond on the Sabbath?” 17 And when He said these things, all His adversaries were put to shame; and all the multitude rejoiced for all the glorious things that were done by Him.

D. TEXT VERSE

Luke 13:16 16 So ought not this woman, being a daughter of Abraham, whom Satan has bound—think of it—for eighteen years, be loosed from this bond on the Sabbath?

This is one of the scriptures God gave me for 2018, He said to me that in 2018 many of those who were bound with long lasting challenges or trials or bondages, are going to be
made free. This is going to be a year of freedom for many people. She was bound for 18 Years, 18 can be made up of 666, the number of the beast, and for 18 Years she was bound. The devil had her in his grip for 18 Years. Many of God’s people today are bound, but it is time for them to come out of bondage. So let’s look of some of the things Jesus said to this woman, and which He is also saying to us this morning:

F. OUGHT NOT
Jesus said:
Luke 13:16 16 So ought not this woman, being a daughter of Abraham, whom Satan has bound—think of it—for eighteen years, be loosed from this bond on the Sabbath?
Ought not this woman? Ought not is the Greek word‘’dei’’
Thayer Definition: it is necessary, there is need of, it behooves, it is is right and proper, for this woman to be set free. Jesus asked, don’t you think it is necessary, it behooves, and it is right and proper for this woman to be set free, don’t you think she has suffered unnecessarily enough? How long is she still going to stay bound? How long do you want this infirmity that should not rule in her life, to rule her life? I believe this morning Jesus is asking us the same question he asked the people in that church. How long are you going to settle for being bound, when I, Jesus have made you free? This woman was bend over for 18 years, see this picture, she lived bound under every circumstance. She was bowing under everything that came across her path. How many of us are bowing down to circumstances, you are always under circumstances.Someone asks us ‘’How are you?’’ We say: ‘’ under circumstances not to bad.’’We bow under sickness, we bow under
poverty, we bow under anything and everything the devil throws our way, and it is ok. Sera Sera, whatever will be, will be. I have had depression for 18 years but it’s ok, I have been poor for a long time it is ok, I have been sick for a long time it is ok.I have learned to cope with it. We rehearse it, we nurse it, and if are not careful it will take us away in a hearse. 18 Years she put up with infirmity, 18 Years the devil stole a lot from her. She couldn’t hug her children, run with them, play with them, she couldn’t look up to the sky, see the stars at night, she couldn’t look anyone in there eyes. She was bound. What has the devil stolen from you? For how long has the devil had the last say in what happens in your life? It is ok Pastor, I have always had this condition, my sickness is not that bad, and I can cope with it. It is not your sickness, it’s the devils. By His stripes you are healed! Don’t tolerate sickness and disease. Pastor we have always been poor. When are you going to practice God’s principles and release the blessing that Jesus paid for you to have? He became poor so that I through His poverty might become rich. Don’t tolerate poverty. Don’t tolerate depression, don’t tolerate lack, and don’t tolerate anything that Jesus paid so that it doesn’t have to be in your life. Ought not this woman, ought not this man, ought not you, ought not I be set free from these things that plague us? There is need for, it behooves, it is right and proper, for us to be set free. Amen. Are you ready to be free? Who the Son sets free is free indeed?

H. DAUGHTER OF ABRAHAM

Luke 13:16 16 So ought not this woman, being a daughter of Abraham, whom Satan
has bound—think of it—for eighteen years, be loosed from this bond on the
Sabbath?
Jesus said ought not this woman who is a daughter of Abraham to be loosed. It is not
right for daughters of Abraham to walk with an infirmity for 18 years. It is not right for sons
of Abraham to walk in infirmity 18 Years. If you are born again that is talking about you.
Daughter of Abraham, Son of Abraham, you are supposed to be free. Pastor I am not a
Son or daughter of Abraham?

Galatians 3:7 therefore know that only those who are of faith are sons of Abraham.
If you believe in Jesus Christ and you live by faith you are a son and daughter of
Abraham you are an heir of the blessing of Abraham. This woman had the blessing of
Abraham and was not supposed to be bound for 18 Years.

Galatians 3:14 that the blessing of Abraham might come upon the Gentiles in
Christ Jesus, that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith.

What was Abraham’s blessing, what makes it so special? Through this blessing of Abraham, God greatly blessed him in every way. He was with him, protected him, gave him long life, God gave him good health, abundant prosperity, victory over his enemies, and made his name great, the bible even said, he was to be the heir of the world. That is the blessing of Abraham. How can a woman who receives this blessing live bound and be bound for 18 years? (Genesis 12:1-3; 13:14-17; 15:1-21; and 17:1-27).
When Abraham transferred this blessing to his children Isaac and Jacob (Genesis 28:13-15 and 35:9-12) (Genesis 26:1-5, 24),there was no record of them ever having a sickness Jacob only had weakness when he was very old and there are plenty of verses showing how great their wealth and abundance was (Genesis 13:2, 26:12-16, etc).
This woman was a daughter of Abraham, because she was a daughter of Abraham she was not supposed to suffer for infirmities for 18 Years. You are a son and a daughter of Abraham through faith, you are supposed to blessed in every way, God wants to protect you, He wants to give you a good long life in health, He wants to give you abundant prosperity, victory over your enemies and he wants to make you so blessed that you can be a blessing. It is time to stop surviving and start thriving. Ought not, is it not right for this sons and daughters of Abraham to live life healthy, wealthy and protected by God?

G. WHOM SATAN HAS BOUND

Luke 13:16 16 So ought not this woman, being a daughter of Abraham, whom Satan has bound—think of it—for eighteen years, be loosed from this bond on the Sabbath?
Whom Satan has bound—think of it—for eighteen years…For eighteen years this woman was been bound. What is binding you? You can be saved for a long time but still bound. When Jesus raised Lazarus from the dead he came out of the grave but he was still bound. He was alive, but death was still wrapped all around him.

John 11:44 and he who had died came out bound hand and foot with grave clothes, and his face was wrapped with a cloth. Jesus said to them, “Loose him, and let him go.”
Just like Lazarus many people are alive, they have been saved but they are still bound by death, they are bound by Satan, they are bound by sickness and disease, poverty and lack, depression, fear, torment, condemnation, guilt past hurt, and just like Lazarus was bound in grave clothes, they are still stuck in death, when Jesus said:

John 10:10 NKJV The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.
I came so that you may have life and have it in abundance. Jesus said to the people around Lazarus, take of the graveclothes. What needs to be removed from you today?
What death needs to be taken from you? What grave clothes are you still stuck in, what has kept you bound up for 18 Years?

H. JESUS SEES YOU

12 But when Jesus saw her, He called her to Him and said to her, “Woman, you are loosed from your infirmity.” 13 And He laid His hands on her, and immediately she was made straight, and glorified God.
Jesus saw Her, Jesus sees you. He has always seen you, but today you need to know He sees you, He sees you in your weakness, He sees you in your pain, and He sees that thing that has been plaguing you for 18 Years. Look what Jesus did: He called her to Him. He is calling you this morning, He calls you to Him.Our answers is not in the world, your healing, your deliverance, your breakthrough, you prosperity is not in the world it is in Him, He is calling you to Himself. Listen to what He is saying to you this morning. He said to her Woman you are loosed from your infirmity. What is an infirmity? It is a weakness, a sickness, a frailty. The English standard version says he freed her from her disability

Luke 13:12 ESV When Jesus saw her, he called her over and said to her, “Woman, you are freed from your disability.”
What is a disability? It comes from the word disable.
1. It is something that renders you unable; it deprives you of your strength or power.
2. It deprives you of your mental power; it destroys or weakens your understanding.
3. It deprives you of adequate means instruments or resources. Not having enough resources
4. It destroys your strength; weakens and impairs you so as to render incapable of action, service or resistance.
5. To destroy or impair and weaken
Like the word says it disables you, it takes the ability out of your life to overcome, to be blessed, to be healthy.
But Jesus spoke to her and said: Woman, thou art loosed from your infirmity.
He loosed her, he unbind her, released her from bonds, set free,to loose one swathed in bandages, you have been hurt so many times it is just wound upon wound upon wound, He is loosing the bandages and healing those wounds, loose someone bound with chains (a prisoner), discharge from prison, let go..

Matthew 18:18 “Assuredly, I say to you, whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven.
Jesus gave us His authority to loose those who were once bound. He is loosing you this morning. Woman thou art loosed, man you are loosed, daughter and son of Abraham, son and daughter of the living God, you are loosed, in Jesus Name.

I. CLOSING

So this morning know, I want to make an invitation to you. This is your new Season. It is time to be loosed from whatever has had you bound and disabled for 18 Years. Whatever Satan has used to keep you bound and disabled it is time to be loosed in Jesus Name. I want to make a few confessions over our church this morning: We the family of love and Faith are loosed from Poverty and I release prosperity over us in Jesus Name.
We the family of love and faith are loosed from sickness and disease and I release divine Health over us today.

We the family of love and Faith are loosed from our Past and we are stepping into our glorious future in Christ. It is a new Season! The Bible says after Jesus laid hands on the woman : immediately she was made straight, and glorified God.
Jesus laid His hands on her and immediately she was made straight and glorified God. If you need to be loosed this morning come to the front we are going to pray with you, we
are going to lay our hands on you and declare that immediately you will be healed, you will be delivered and immediately you will be set free. It is time to be set free this morning
from whatever has had you bound, whatever has held you back, come to the front and I declare that today you will be loosed. As we lay our hands on you just like with this woman you will immediately be made straight and I want you after we have laid hands on you to praise God. Are you ready to be set free? I believe God will confirm His Word this morning.

Mark 16:20 and they went out and preached everywhere, while the Lord worked with them and confirmed the message by accompanying signs.
