Ministries Available
Children’s Ministry
- The Children’s Ministry consist out of two legs:
A. The toddlers (1-4 years of age)
B. the Children’s Church (5-12 years of age)
- Proverbs 22:6: ‘Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it.’
The Children’s Ministry help provide the road map to safely navigate children by the guidance of the Holy Spirit, based on the Word of God as they transit to their teen years.
Our aim is:
- To aid each child in accepting Jesus Christ as saviour and developing a dynamic relationship with Him.
- To help the child grow in his/her relationships with other believers and with his/her non-church friends.
- To support the family in their responsibility for the spiritual nurture and growth of their child.
- To help children feel a warm sense of belonging to the family of Love and Faith and to insure each child feels welcomed and wanted.
- To help each child understand that God’s Word (the Bible) is relevant and that growth in Bible knowledge results in positive changes in attitudes, action and life-style.
- To provide Godly teachers who are adequately trained and developed to serve as positive role models while they minister to children.
To provide a safe, secure, loving environment for children to participate in and where parents feel comfortable leaving their child.
Youth Ministry
- The Youth ministry consist out of two legs:
A: Teens who are still attending School.
B: Young Adults who are studying and working but not married.
- Psalm 119:9: ‘How can a young person stay on the path of purity? By living according to your Word.’
Our Youth ministry is about Love, life and light! It is about Faith, friends and fun within God’s plan and purpose!
Our aim is:
- To aid each young person in accepting Jesus Christ as saviour and developing a dynamic relationship with Him.
- To equip our youth to move their life of God’s love and faith beyond the church walls and into their daily context and to stand in God ordained relationships according to God’s Word and led by the Holy Spirit.
1 Timothy 4:12 MSG: ‘ And don’t let anyone put you down because you’re young. Teach believers with your life: by word, by demeanor, by love, by faith, by integrity.’
Music Ministry – Jesus Frequency
John 4:23: ‘But the hour is coming, and now is, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth; for the Father is seeking such to worship Him.’
Our aim is:
- To worship God in spirit and in truth and to be examples to every person that we encounter.
- To exalt and magnify the Lord
- To lead people into the presence of God through praise and worship and in doing so, edifying and encouraging God’s people.
- To create an atmosphere of openness to the Holy Spirit to minister, changing hearts, and bringing a release of God’s anointing.
- To set an atmosphere whereby people will be saved and
- To make disciples by being an example of living a lifestyle of worship
To prepare hearts to respond obediently to the proclamation of God’s Word.
Woman’s Ministry
Proverbs 31:30: ‘Charm is deceitful and beauty is passing, But a woman who fears the Lord, she shall be praised.’
Our aim is:
- To aid each woman in accepting Jesus Christ as saviour and developing a dynamic relationship with Him.
- To equip our women to move their life of God’s love and faith beyond the church walls and assist other women in their spiritual growth and development.
- Enhance our relationship with the wider community through evangelism, voluntary work and cell groups.
To set up a Women’s Training Centre where women from different cultures would be welcomed, spiritually equipped and trained as part of the Arts and Crafts Ministry in order to be self-sufficient in generating work with an income.
Elderly Ministry
Psalm 71:18: ‘Now that I am old and gray, do not abandon me, O God. Let me proclaim your power to this new generation, your mighty miracles to all who come after me.’
- Senior citizens are a vital part of church life at the family of Love and Faith.
Ministry to seniors provides spiritual support, social activities and Godly empowerment. Pastor Sophia Potgieter and her team make visits to the elderly, including the home bound and the elderly in retirement villages and senior care centres. These visits are scheduled on a regular basis by Pastor Sophia and members of the team. The Seniors’ Ministry is designed to provide fellowship, prayer, education, activities, and service opportunities for Seniors in our church and community, so that they can grow in their relationship with Jesus and serve God by demonstrating His love and care and in doing so, leaving behind a Godly legacy.
Our aim is:
To exemplify and glorify Jesus Christ, our Lord and Saviour, by the love we display, the joy we radiate, and the passion we demonstrate: in worship, ministry, service, witness, fellowship, mentoring and liberality in giving.
Evangelism and Outreach Ministry
Matthew 28:19: ‘Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit’
Every believer within the Christian family is Biblically commissioned to spread the gospel of Jesus Christ to the entire world. The church should not be inwardly focused but outwardly focused. The family of Love and Faith Evangelism & Outreach Ministry exists to passionately fulfil that responsibility within and throughout our communities and the world. This ministry commits all of its efforts and energy to seek out and reach the spiritually lost and non-believers, who are generally beyond the walls of the local church.
