THE FAMILY OF LOVE AND FAITH is a multi-racial Word based Ministry, catering for the whole community. We are a cell church, believing in God ordained relationships motivated by the love of God.

Ministry Strategy:

  • Mandate and purpose: To equip all believers in the Vaal Triangle and the rest of the world by providing training, developing skills and impart relationships in a Biblical manner.
  • Vision: To make disciples (Matt 28:19-20)

Mission statement: To live a lifestyle of love and faith through relationship by reconciling people to God and to one another, making them responsible and holding them accountable, in representing Christ in order to be fruitful and to reproduce.

OUR MISSION

The mission of the church is to glorify God by making disciples through the gospel of Jesus Christ. God’s mission and the mission of His Church are inseparably linked.

OUR VISION

There is one God, who exists eternally in a fellowship of three distinct and equal persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit who are unchangeable in their holiness, justice, wisdom and love.

OUR PASTORS & STAFF

Michael Keeve

Senior Pastor

Pastor Michael Keeve is the Presiding Pastor of The Family of Love and Faith. He is married to Pastor Carien Keeve and is also a father and grandfather. He was a Police Officer in the South African Police Service from 1984 – 2003. He served at various Police Stations and was a Patrol/Explosive dog Handler at SAPS Vaalrand Dog/K9 Unit. He was commander at: Vaalrand Dog/K9 Unit, Area SAPS task team and Fire Arm Registration Centre, Vereeniging. He left the South African Police service in 2003 as a Senior Officer and started in ministry as a Cell Pastor at the AFM Church Vanderbijlpark North and as the Dean of Heritage of Faith Bible institute, Leadership Academy and School of Ministry – Vanderbijlpark Campus. He joined the church as a congregation member in 1997. In 2009 he became the Presiding Pastor/Congregation Leader of the AFM Church Vanderbijlpark North, Family of love and faith. He obtained his National Diploma in Police Administration, his Bachelor of Ministry degree and completed numerous relevant courses. Pastor Michael has a passion for relationships, relationship with God and God ordained relationships with one another.

Carien Keeve

Senior Pastor

Pastor Carien Keeve is the wife and Presiding Pastor alongside her husband, Pastor Michael Keeve of The Family of Love and Faith. She is also a mother and grandmother. Pastor Carien have experience in the secular world regarding finances and administration, own business (hydraulics, engineering and fabrication) and training. Pastor Carien was involved in the secular world until the year 2000 when she joined the AFM Church Vanderbijlpark North in the financial department. She is a congregation member since 1997. In 2006 she entered into ministry as a Pastor. In 2009 Pastor Carien and Pastor Michael became the Presiding Pastor/Congregation Leader couple of the AFM Church Vanderbijlpark North, Family of love and faith. She obtained her Bachelor of Ministry degree and completed numerous relevant courses. Pastor Carien is very much involved in counselling and flows prophetically in the body of Christ. She has a passion for teaching.

Stef Potgieter

Worship Leader and Associate Pastor

Pastor Stef Potgieter is an Associate Pastor at The Family of Love and Faith. He joined the congregation in 2004. He is married to Chantelle Potgieter and father to daughter, Amber-Jay and son, Ruben. He holds a BA Marketing Communication degree, as well as a Bachelor of Ministry degree. He is the worship leader of the Family of Love and Faith and also serves in various capacities and roles within the church and Heritage of Faith Bible Institute.

Hannes Schmahl

Dean of Bible School

Pastor Hannes Schmahl is an Associate Pastor at The Family of Love and Faith. He is married to Maretha Schmahl the love of his life and is also a father to his Son Joshua Daniel Schmahl. He worked in various roles in the secular world, which included Managerial positions, in the Retail and Food Industries. He also travelled to London where He served as a Volunteer in Hillsong and Cristian Revival Church in London. He became a member of the Family of love in Faith in 1998, where he served in various roles such as Youth Leader, Cell Shepherd, and started in ministry as an Associate Pastor in AFM and the Dean of Heritage of Faith Bible institute, Leadership Academy and School of Ministry – Vanderbijlpark Campus in 2009. He obtained his Certificate in Christian Ministry from Theologos School of Ministry, and his Bachelor of Ministry degree and completed numerous other relevant courses. Pastor Hannes lives to help people Understand the Grace of God empowering them to change.

Chantell Du Plooy

Adminitrator

Chantell du Plooy is responsible for the administration of the Family of Love and Faith ministry office. She is married to Jan du Plooy and the mother of Liam. Chantell is part of this congregation from 1997 and started at the Family of Love and Faith in the administration post in 2012. She has experience in the secular world as Pharmacy Assistant and as a shop manager. She is excellent in organizing events and in networking. Chantell is a make-up artist and she does the makeup of brides and other ladies on various occasions in her free time.
